The Tom Hargrove & Anita Grover, MD Child Development Center at our Y offers programs for infants through children in sixth grade. All programs work to develop the whole child: socially, cognitively, emotionally, and physically, and to provide children with the opportunity to learn and grow, while taking advantage of all our Y has to offer.
We appreciate that each child is an individual and strive to create an environment that stimulates and nurtures all children. Our qualified, seasoned staff embraces all children and their families, so that all feel comfortable with the consistent, loving care provided.
Our Y also offers an array of youth and family programs, giving the children not only the opportunity to interact with their peers in our childcare programs, but also with members of their family and members of the community in a wide variety of programs offerings. Participants and their families often become a part of the larger YMCA community, and it’s not uncommon for past participants to stop by and say hi to their teachers a few years later on the way to their program. We see youth and families grow over the years and feel grateful for these long-term relationships.
