How to Get Involved with FAFU

Through our partnership with Facing the Future, we are helping to educate, feed, and support approximately 350 children in Kibera, Kenya. Join us in our partnership and change a life.

Be the Change

There are many ways to be a part of  our journey and help others around the globe. Here a few ideas to get you started:

Support FAFU through our Annual Campaign
By making a donation to our Y to support our friends in Kibera.

Sponsor a Child
$360.00 will sponsor one child to help feed, provide a school uniform and supplies, and medical check-ups for one year. Click here for more information about our FAFU Child Sponsorship Program.

Panzano FAFU High School Scholarship
Facing the Future covers students only through middle school. After that, they’re on their own. There are no high schools in Kibera and to attend high school outside of the slum costs $1,000 per year, which for these families, is unattainable.  Once again, these children are left without hope…until now. Click here, to make a donation to the Panzano FAFU High School Scholarship Fund.

Hold a fundraiser or donate to one
Fundraisers are a great way to provide an opportunity for the community to learn about the children of Kibera and what they need most. If you are interested in holding a walk-a-thon, lemonade stand, book fair or any other events you may have in mind, please contact us and we would be happy to help.

Community Presentations
Invite us to present to your group, club, organization or school to speak about our journey and the difference we can make together.

Take a trip
Take a trip  with us and see first hand the children and staff at Facing the Future, the work that our Y has done, and the impact you or your organization can make across the globe.
