World Service Initiatives and Global Education

We believe that investing in our neighbors across the globe benefits all of us.
Without opportunities to learn and gain skills to earn a living, people are deprived of economic stability. As a result, communities are more likely to suffer the consequences of poverty and social inequality and our global society fails to reach its full potential.

There are YMCA’s in 119 countries, each helping people reach their full potential for a better future.

Our Y’s Global Partners
Here at our Y, we have two global partners that we support in different ways through fundraising, service learning opportunities from both sides of the globe and sponsorships.

Facing the Future Child Learning Center
A childcare facility in the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya that serves over 300 slum children ages 18 months to 14-years-old.

The Peru YMCA in Lima
A Y facility similar to our Y including a variety of youth and adult programs such as swim, pre-school, after school childcare, teens, dance, martial arts, fitness and many more.
