New Canaan YMCA Synchronized Swimmers Travel to Canada

  In their first international meet, the New Canaan YMCA Synchronized Swimming Team of 11/12 year old swimmers Alice Chidley, Katie Farrell, Emma Flynn, Anisha Khosla, Alexandra Lin, Isabella Montgomery, Sierra Rojas-Thomas and Ophelie Tousignant brought home a bronze medal from the Canadian Trillium 12 and Under Open Championship held in Toronto over the weekend of June 13-14.  The eight member team scored 56.6250, behind Canada’s two top teams with scores of 61.2635 and 61.9345. “The Trillium is the equivalent of the United States’ National level championship, so coming in third was a tremendous accomplishment for these girls,” said Coach Krista Bessinger.
