Sports Camp Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My child is only 5 but has completed Kindergarten. Can they attend Sports Camp
A: Yes. If your child has completed Kindergarten, you can register him/her for Camp

Q: Are you peanut/tree nut free?
A: No. We cannot assure you that another child will not come to camp with peanut/nut products.

Q: What are the daily activities?
A: Daily activities consist of all sports and games. Basketball, baseball, golf, lacrosse, kick ball, fencing, soccer, and other camp games.

Q: Do I have to send a lunch with my child?
A: Yes. Please send lunch in a clearly marked bag (no paper bags). Each lunch should have an ice pack in it.

Q: Will you group friends together?
A: We will try to accommodate your wishes, but we cannot guarantee any requests. We group our campers by grade.

Q: Do the children swim every day?
A: Yes. Please send a bathing suit, towel and any swim accessories every day.

Q: Do they receive swim instruction?
A: Yes. They do receive swim instruction 3x a week conducted by their counselors guided by swim instructors.

Q: How much time is spent outside?
A: “homebase” is located on the YMCA backfield under a huge 80 person tent but we do have full use of the YMCA facility

Q: What else am I missing?
A: Please bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, pack a snack separately from lunch.
