YMCA child care. The New Canaan YMCA offers
quality, licensed child care for children
ages 6 weeks through grade 6, all in our
renovated South Avenue facility.
Parents and children alike will feel
comfortable with the consistent, loving care
provided.
The
New Canaan YMCA offers reliable after-school
programming for children in kindergarten
through grade six from school dismissal to
6:00pm daily.
Participants may register for 3, 4,
or 5 days per week.
The
program operates at the YMCA’s South
Avenue facility and follows the New Canaan
public school calendar (extended program
available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
Bus transportation from the New
Canaan public and St. Aloysius schools is
provided.
Extended days are available when New
Canaan schools have early dismissals, and
vacation programs are available at reduced
rates during most public school holidays.
Our
energetic, qualified staff provide
experiences that promote self-esteem,
independence, and responsibility.
Activities include organized gym activities
and outdoor play, sports and games,
swimming, arts and crafts, stories, music,
special events, local trips, and homework
assistance.
We maintain a staff-to-child ratio of
at least ten to one.

Vacation Camp (Grades K-6)
The
New Canaan YMCA offers a variety of special
activities and events for children in grades
K-6 during school breaks. Program
follows the New Canaan Public School
