Group Fitness

Group Exercise Center

Located on second level next to our Wellness Center, this 2,600 square foot space houses most of our Cardiovascular, Strength Training, Zumba, and MOSSA classes.

You will find mostly high energy classes in the Group Exercise Center. If you have any questions about the Group Exercise Center classes or you need help getting started, please contact Kristin Schnitzler, Group Wellness Director, at 203-920-1636.

GROUP EXERCISE CENTER CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

CARDIO CONDITIONING
Combines intervals of cardio with simple athletic movements like squats, and curls. All done to fun music! All ages and fitness levels welcome! No equipment required.

CHAIR FITNESS
Improve your cardio, core, balance and strength while seated in an upright chair. Fun music and great instructors! A class for everyone.

FIT & FUNCTIONAL
A low-impact energetic cardio class infused with strength training and balance work. Emphasis is given to foot, knee and hip alignment. Safe for everyone and intense enough for all fitness levels. Exercise to the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, & 80’s music

ACTIVE TOGETHER®
Active Together is an innovative 60-minute workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, builds total-body strength, and enhances movement health for daily life. Inspiring music and supportive coaching will ensure you succeed with simple, athletic exercises that use dumbbells, bodyweight, and The STEP®.

DEFEND TOGETHER®
Defend Together burns a ton of calories and builds total body strength. Tap into the hottest mixed martial arts movements done at a rapid-fire pace to maximize your cardio fitness. This electric experience is addictive and collaboratively a high-energy 60 minutes of fun.

STRENGTH TRAIN TOGETHER®
Strength Train Together maximizes your workout results with 60 minutes of impactful strength training. You’ll get stronger while improving movement when you combine traditional strength training with functional exercises using an adjustable barbell, weights and bodyweight.

CARDIO STEP TOGETHER®
Cardio Step Together is 60 minutes of cardio training that uses The STEP® in highly effective, athletic ways. It will get your heart pounding and sweat pouring as you improve your fitness, agility, coordination, and strength with exciting music and group energy.

CORE FOCUS TOGETHER®
Core Focus Together gives you three-dimensional strength training in 30 action-packed minutes. A stronger core improves athletic performance, enhances movement health, and helps prevent back pain. Coaching and motivating music will push you through integrated exercises that use your bodyweight and weight plates.

CYCLE TOGETHER®
Cycle Together is a 60-minute cycling experience brought indoors. Roll over hills, chase the pack, spin the flats, climb mountains, and sprint to the finish. You’ll feel the thrill of energetic music and group dynamics as you get all the benefits of authentic interval training.

CYCLE 30 TOGETHER®
Cycle 30 Together will get you fitter and feeling better in only 30 minutes. It’s a cardio workout that is as easy as riding a bike. Inspiring music and motivating coaching will get you to burn calories, improve muscular endurance, and build cardio fitness as you ride with surges, short intervals, power, and end with a rush.

GROOVE TOGETHER®
Groove Together is an energizing 60 minutes of dance fitness. It’s a high-energy cardio experience that is a fusion of club, urban, and Latin dance styles set to the hottest current hits and the best dance songs ever produced. You’ll definitely want to invite a friend.

ZUMBA
Zumba® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Come join the fitness!

ZUMBA STRENGTH
30 minutes of high intensity Latin inspired dance cardio, followed by 30 minutes of resistance training utilizing different strength training techniques.
