Congratulations to the New Canaan YMCA Caimans swim team on an exciting couple of weeks!

Earlier in March, the Y and Caimans hosted a championship meet here in New Canaan.  The Caimans represented their home pool with pride coming in first place overall and capturing the 2014 team championship.  All of our swimmers performed well and worked together as a team.  In addition to the team championship, other accomplishments for the weekend included: 90% best times, 63 Caimans crowned individual champions, 40 new Age Group cut-off times made, and two new team records.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers, coaches, and especially Caiman parents who helped make the weekend a success!

The Caimans also attended the CT Age Group Championships March 15-16 at Weselyan University.  At this meet, two 13-14 girls relay team records were broken.  Members of the 400 Freestyle and 400 Medley relays include: Caroline Sweeney, Catherine Gorey, Lizzy Colwell and Dominika Brice.  Congratulations also to Catherine Steinberg who broke the 9-10 girls 50 Backstroke record.
