The New Canaan YMCA Aquianas Synchronized Swim Team is holding its 8th Annual Silent Auction, starting October 31 and ending November 9. The auction items and descriptions will be on display in the 1st Floor Lobby of the Y during this time. Be sure to view the 8th Annual Silent Auction Look Book.

The items range from gift-ready baskets for kids, book-lovers, and wine-lovers, to a 6 night-vacation at an on-site Disney resort. This is a chance to discover area restaurants (several gift certificates are available), or to try hand-made desserts such as an authentic French Yule log. Winning bids will be tallied at noon on Sunday November 9.

The New Canaan YMCA’s synchronized swimming program combines music, dance, and swimming into “the ultimate team sport.” Swimmers form close friendships with their teammates as they train, travel, and compete together. In addition, each swimmer’s training will challenge her physically, while the artistic side of the sport provides an outlet for creative expression. It is an excellent way for girls to stay active and build self-confidence.
